Social media is great for communication but we are losing the face to face interaction and discussion that past generations enjoyed, writes Rizwan Ahmed, Muslim Chaplain at Bristol University.
As a chaplain I’m asked to speak on various topics and often the issue of community crops up . I then tend to go off on a nostalgic trip of my experiences of growing up when as a nation there seemed to be a stronger sense of community and also as a society we actually spoke to our neighbours.
In the fast paced life of modern living and an ever-increasing reliance on social media I worry this human contact seems to falling by the way side.
